City backs down under threat of law suit
To follow up on the story of the shop owner in Centerville, Georgia, under threat of legal action, the city has decided to back down, according to News Central. In a recent post on The Wild Hunt, Jason tells us that Courtney Bibb, owner of “Energy Among Us”, is elated that the city has agreed to repeal the ordinance which prohibited her from “practicing any type of spirituality”.

As for bill 365, the “Anti- Witchcraft” law here in Canada, momentum is building in support of the repeal of this religiously biased archaic law. Dr. Brendan Myers, of the podcast Standing Stone and Garden Gate, discusses this issue in a recent podcast episode where Gregg of The Wicca.Ca includes commentary on the ramifications of the law and what it means to Canadian Pagans.
You can support the repeal of this law by signing and e-mailing the pre- written letter to Canada’s Minister of Justice and Attorney General on the “discussions” section of the FaceBook site here.
Well, I’m off to the “Beltane Faire” here in Edmonton. I’ll have a story on that festival tomorrow. Happy Beltane all.
